Plasvacc - Canine Blood Typing

Canine Blood Typing

The Canine blood typing (Alvedia) are easy-to-use in-clinic tests designed to determine the major immunoreactive blood types of dogs. The tests use immunochromatography and monoclonal antibodies to DEA1.1 (dog). These tests can be performed with as little as one mL of blood with results obtained within three minutes. Canine blood typing tests are available individually (QuickTest) or in a pack of 20 (LabTest).

Plasvacc - Easy QuickTest DAT Canine (Direct Antiglobulin Test)

Easy QuickTest DAT Canine (Direct Antiglobulin Test)

Importance of DAT

A Coombs Test or Direct Antiglobulin Test (DAT) is performed to detect the presence of antibodies against red blood cells. It is used in the diagnosis of Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA). IMHA is the most common cause of hemolytic anemia in dogs.

Benefits

  • 2O minutes procedure
  • All material included
  • Time saving
  • Easy handling
  • Reliable results
  • Easy interpretation
  • Alvedia Technology

The classical technology uses incubation of washed red blood cells suspension with antisera that causes agglutination. Our immuno-chromatographic technology will detect the presence of immunoglobulin (IgG & IgM) and/or C3 components binding to the RBC surface. A positive result indicates an in vivo sensitisation and can thus be used to indicate the presence of auto-immune antibodies.

Our canine Direct Antiglobulin Test (DAT) aims to detect the presence of immunoglobulins and/or C3 components on the surface of patient’s red blood cells (RBCs).

Material provided :

  • 1 DAT membrane
  • 1 buffer solution
  • 1 wash buffer
  • 1 test tube (1,2 ml)
  • 1 test tube (5 ml)
  • 1 blood collector strip
  • pipettes
Plasvacc - QuickTest XM Canine (Crossmatch)

QuickTest XM Canine (Crossmatch)

Importance of crossmatching

Dogs have many blood types on the surface of their red blood cells and with the absence of test kits for all of these blood groups (except for DEA 1), it is mandatory to perform a reliable crossmatch test before any transfusion. Crossmatching aims to establish a serological compatibility between the recipient and the donor. Our canine major crossmatch test will allow you to pick up incompatibilities accross all canine blood groups (DEA 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, DAL).

Benefits

  • 25 minutes procedure
  • All material included
  • Time saving
  • Easy handling
  • Reliable results
  • Easy interpretation
  • Alvedia technology

Our canine crossmatch test (major and/or minor) is based on an immuno-chromatographic technology that will detect the presence of immunoglobulins (IgG & IgM) and/or C3 components binding to the red blood cells (RBCs) surface.

Material provided:

  • 1 XM Quick Test
  • 2 Blood collector strips
  • 1 blue buffer (buffer 1)
  • 1 green buffer (buffer 2)
  • 1 wash buffer
  • 1 test tube (1,2ml)
  • 1 empty well
  • 2 pipettes
