Caniplas is used to treat a wide variety of canine illnesses, protecting dogs against the depletion of blood clotting factors and the onset of potentially fatal infection.
Caniplas is Plasvacc's canine plasma product. Rich in gamma globulins, Caniplas is collected from hyperimmunised donor dogs that reside at the Plasvacc plasma production facility, the only facility of its kind in Australia. Caniplas is used to supplement the immune system of dogs and is a highly effective treatment for a wide variety of canine illnesses and infections, including Pancreatitis, Coagulopathies, Parvovirus infection and Failure of Passive Transfer in puppies. Plasma transfusions are also required in cases of major tissue damage, such as injuries sustained during motor vehicle accidents or during the performance of major surgery (for example, amputation). In these instances, Caniplas transfusions protect the dog against the depletion of blood clotting factors and the onset of potentially fatal infection. When used to complement conventional veterinary treatments, Plasvacc's Caniplas product shortens the course of treatments, reduces hospitalisation periods and lessens the quantity of drugs required to restore your dog's health. Caniplas is now registered by the Australian Pesticide and Veterinary Medicines Authority and the New Zealand Food Safety Authority. Caniplas Product Sheet Caniplas Indications
