Plasvacc - CaniPRBC

CaniPRBC

CaniPRBC (Canine Packed Red Blood Cells) contains Canine Erythrocytes 40-60mls/100ml with each bag containing >350mls. The shelf life is 42 days as per Plasvacc’s stability studies in particular with respect to haemolysis %. CaniPRBC is enhanced by Leuko-depletion, Blood typed DEA 1.1 Negative and Coombs tested negative. This testing ensures that CaniPRBC is of the highest quality. All Plasvacc canine donors have been donated and rehomed to a safe communal open plan quarantined kennel. Our donors are cared for 365 days a year and have constant veterinary supervision. They are routinely treated with heartworm and intestinal worming medications. They are also free of fleas and hyperimmunised for the manufacture of our Caniplas products. We export our canine plasma overseas and our donors are intermittently tested for Babesia, Heartworm, Coxiella Burnetii and other blood-borne parasites. CaniPRBC is a refrigerated product (stored between 2-6 degrees C).
